this was your promise
and yet the words
they sing of my passing
my tears and body
to foam in your dementia
naked
fully clothed
drifting to you
a plea to follow
but the waves
they pulled me away
and i'm only an apparition now
floating in your only dream
a ghost with no child
Monday
Friday
fever
if only i could blame my lapse in judgement
on the impending fever, well
everything i've done would be ok
i could just shruff off responsibility to
all of you, and finally live life
as if i were dying like everyone else
and to what ends?
on the impending fever, well
everything i've done would be ok
i could just shruff off responsibility to
all of you, and finally live life
as if i were dying like everyone else

it's kind of been back-to-reality week for me
it was fun to see you! and daydream about you!
heh I might still daydream a bit
but yeah, here I am in real life, very single and kind of bored"

Thursday
So when you sign up for LA Fitness they find a perky girl/boy to give you a general tour of the gym and then they give you over to The Body of Change trainer to try and convince you to contract with their personal training services. BofC is a completely separate entity from LA Fitness but they [say that they] have sole rights to be the only certified trainers in working the building. The day I signed up the poor trainer guy tried really hard to get me to sign up but I was firm. After 15 minutes I was tired of listening to him so I grabbed my stuff and left. Next day I get a call asking if I had my assessment, I said no, what is this? It is a free training sessions with a trainer (and also another sales pitch for personal trainers). I said sure, meet you Wednesday.
It was terrible.
The usual schedule, as I understand it, would be for you to fill out a goal/health form, have a 30 minutes + work out, and then the sales pitch. I messed with the whole schedule by sitting down and telling him NO. I was there for two hours talking to him. 15 minutes of that was strength training (which may or may not go against my LA Fitness contract). This guy, Matt, unlike the first one, hit the right emotional triggers and I finally agreed to sign up for a trainer. By right triggers I mean that he acted horrified by my body fat percentage/weight and said that by not getting a trainer right away I was procrastinating and not determined enough. Serious brow beating and I got very upset (but not in front of him). As soon as I walked out the door I had severe buyer's remorse (and almost in tears).
I met Andrew at my house and was venting to him and Leah when I finally gave into the embarrassed tears. Bad consumer, bad! I went in with "NO" and bought anyways, dang it!! Plus, no one wants to be looked at like Matt was looking at me. :-[ We looked at the contract's fine print and saw that I had three business days to write to them. So I typed out the letter, signed it, and Andrew took it straight down there and yelled at The Body of Change manager for me. (My heart goes pitty pat!) I now have a receipt that says I canceled their service. I will keep watch on them though...tricksie guys.
The other annoying thing is that I did a leg work out with Erin on Monday, I hauled 200lbs worth of boxes around and did 45 min.s soccer Tuesday, and the 15 minutes I spent with the trainer last night was all leg work, too. My legs are sooo tired! And the new trend in work outs is that you only work on one major muscle group a day (legs, back, chest, abs?, arms), and only once a week. Too much leg!!
I met with Erin and her boss/life trainer Paul this morning. He's huge! 6'5" or some such. Whereas I am smallish to use the gym machines he is way too tall! It's funny to watch him give Erin a hard time (evil grin). Both he and Erin had/have bad posture (not that mine is that great) but when I work out my spine is dead straight and legs/posture good. He kept teasing Erin to use me as an example hee hee! She took it well. We worked on our back muscles and it was nice, easy work out to figure out what total weights I should use and then talked some. He wants me to bike train with them and snow shoe! I have never snow shoed - have you?! It sounds fun!
In other news, my second and final interview is today. The upset last night was not appreciated! Arg. Wish me luck!

Sunday
Last Saturday I went to see a Zombie Walk -
100 or so lurching people in ravaged zombie costumes.
Children, babies in strollers and adults...
some adults gnawing on babies.
Then I went to see Zombie Land
which was as hilarious as it was gory directly after.
A weekend of zombies!!
No ill effects.
Last night I went to a sedate work party
I mentioned that when the car door opened
it slipped from hands and slammed my shoulder.
I was told it was a zombie car door as a joke.
This morning I woke up at 7am
from a zombie nightmare.
Sigh.
First nightmare I've woken from in 10 yrs +
Zombie cars doors...really?!

Smile by Lily Allen
When you first left me I was wanting more
But you were fucking that girl next door, what cha do that for (what cha do that for)
When you first left me I didn't know what to say
I never been on my own that way, just sat by myself all day
I was so lost back then
But with a little help from my friends
I found a light in the tunnel at the end
Now you're calling me up on the phone
So you can have a little whine and a moan
And it's only because you're feeling alone
At first when I see you cry,
yeah it makes me smile, yeah it makes my smile
At worst I feel bad for a while,
but then I just smile I go ahead and smile
Whenever you see me you say that you want me back
And I tell you it don't mean jack, no it don't mean jack
I couldn't stop laughing, no I just couldn't help myself
See you messed up my mental health I was quite unwell
I was so lost back then
But with a little help from my friends
I found a light in the tunnel at the end
Now you're calling me up on the phone
So you can have a little whine and a moan
